David McFadden
David McFadden (1940-2018) was a Canadian poet born in Hamilton, Ontario. Over the span of his career, he wrote 20 books of poetry, 3 novels, and several travel books. He was awarded the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2013 for his book What’s the Score? (2012). He worked as a proofreader at the Hamilton Spectator during the 60s and, for a short time, ran his own literary magazine, Mountain. He was also a founding member of GOSH (Gentlemen of Sensible Height), as well as a former member of International PEN, the Writer’s Union of Canada, the League of Canadian Poets, and the Last Minute Club.
